Indonesia Visit
In April the Holy Family School celebrated 10 years of partnership with
Pondok Pesantren Darunnajaj in Jakarta , Indonesia. This is essentially a
partnership between a catholic school and an Islamic boarding school, whereby
teachers and sometimes students from each school have visited the other
country each year for a two week period. The aim has been to find out about the
two different cultures , the education systems and the similarities and
differences in the two religious.
This year Mrs Llewellyn and Mr Verfuerth from Holy Family travelled to
Indonesia to take part in celebrations attended by the British Ambassodor to
Indonesia and the British Council.
We are looking forward to welcoming back staff and students from Darunnajah in
Autumn 2016.
