General Announcements
We are looking for two parents to begin getting information and start collecting for the "Class of 2016". If you’re interested, please contact Mrs. Leatherman in the main office. Parent ads are due for the yearbook on May 1st. Yearbook orders are due May 1st as well, though you may still order a yearbook after May 1st with a slight cost increase. After May 1, you must pay CHS for the book, as Jostens will not be accepting checks at that point. Please check the list in the lunch line to make sure your parents have ordered your yearbook. There are 119 students that are pictured in the book 4+ times and have not purchased their book. New Scholarship for any senior who participated in Student Council this year. See Mrs. Trutsch ASAP.

Greetings Freshmen and Sophomore Parents: Please take note of this opportunity from the The Princeton Review: The Princeton Review has several free events coming up to help your students prepare for the ACT, SAT, and the college admissions process. Free Practice ACT Day: Saturday, May 4th from 9am-1pm Free Practice SAT Day: Saturday, May 11th from 9am-1pm Scores Back & Strategy Session: Saturday, May 18th from 11am-1pm *At this event, you will receive a detailed, diagnostic score report of your results and learn strategies for each section on the exam. The location for each of these dates is: Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School The practice tests will be administered in a way that’s very similar to how the real ACT and SAT are given. Why? Because students need to become familiar with the testing environment they’ll face when taking the test when it counts. The Princeton Review runs free practice tests so that students can gain an understanding with the format of the ACT and SAT, and experience sitting down early on a Saturday morning for a four hour exam! Parents and students are welcome to attend the Scores Back and Strategy Session on May 18th. Students will receive their scores, learn strategies for taking each test, and find out how to gain admission into a top-notch school or university of their choice. The individualized diagnostic score reports analyze students’ strengths and areas of opportunity. Students should walk away from the practice tests and Strategy Session with a feel for where they stand on the tests, where their scores will take them, and the confidence to improve their score and ace the exams. Spots are limited - please call The Princeton Review at 800-2Review (800-273-8439) to register. You can also visit PrincetonReview.com/FreePracticeTest to reserve your spot today!
