This programme is aimed at taking the stress out of preparing for the compulsory regulatory exam
You will be able to test your understanding step by step We will support and encourage you
You will have access to a subject matter expert
Slide 3 of 8
You have been placed in a learning group of up to 25 learners The content for the regulatory exam is broken up into seven
modules You don’t have access to all the modules at once, as we want you
to work through the programme one bit at a time So we will open up Module 1 for you first, followed a week later by
Module 2. Once you’ve studied Module 1, you need to check your
understanding by doing a mini-exam You can do the mini-exam as many times as you like You are under time pressure as the mini exam for Module 1 is only
open for two weeks. After this you need to move onto Module 2.
Slide 4 of 8
This time pressure means that you will cover all the work in the eight weeks allocated to the programme as a whole (instead of leaving it all to the end!)
At the end of Module 7, you will do a mock exam which closely resembles the formal Regulatory Exam.
If you pass the final mock exam (which you should, if you have worked through all the modules) then you are very likely to do well in the Regulatory Exams
Along the way you get lots of help and support – from the subject matter expert, from your fellow group members, from the ARTG learning site, from technical support.
Slide 5 of 8
Each module has◦ Guidelines for using Inseta’s official hard copy materials◦ An easy to understand presentation ◦ Projects and tasks to assist you to check your
understanding ◦ Comment/chat facilities to interact with fellow learners and
the subject matter expert◦ Tasks for syndicate work (i.e. working together in small
groups)◦ An online tutorial session led by the subject matter expert◦ A mini exam to check your understanding
Slide 6 of 8
Set up a study plan for the next eight weeks. Decide how much time you can spend a day on your studies, and at what days and times this will be. Put it in your diary.
Go onto the site and look around. Click on your registered group name and open Module 1.
Then go to the section on the Inseta materials and work through this. Then view the presentation Organise a syndicate group and set up a meeting to start learning together In whichever order makes sense to you, work through the tasks and
activities, participate in the comment/chat sessions, attend the on-line tutorial, ask questions and check your understanding with the subject matter expert
Use the resources available to you such as the resource library When you are fairly confident that you understand Module 1, do the mini
exam. If you pass this, then you are ready to leave Module 1 behind and move onto Module 2.
