What this means for you
DCC Public 12
The plan will deliver full functionality of the DCC system over two live releases:
• Release 1.2 provides the functionality required for suppliers to install commission and
operate SMETS2 meters for credit customers by August 2016.
• Release 1.3 will deliver the remaining functionality, including prepayment and export
metering.
There are also post-DCC Live licence obligations (set out by DECC in its Rollout Strategy) on
suppliers and network operators:
• Large suppliers (DCC User mandate and Early Rollout Obligation – R1.2 + 6 months)
• Small domestic suppliers (DCC User Mandate – R1.2 + 12 months)
• Electricity DNOs (DCC User Mandate – R1.3 + 6 months)
