To improve the math and literacy skills of young children ages 2-8, especially those from low-income backgrounds, through interactive, cross-platform content that supports the idea that “anytime is learning time” and helps prepare children for success in school.

• Free bi-lingual mobile app for Android and iOS smartphones

• Provides parents with math and literacy tips via push notification texts, as well as location-based activities & mini-games to help get their children ready for school
• Fun games that integrate math and literacy, build on kids’ natural curiosity, & encourage dialogue between parents & children

PBS Parents Mobile App
• Partnership between the CPB-PBS Ready To Learn Initiative and the Campaign for Grade Level Reading
• Parents can enter age of their child or children to receive age-appropriate texts and engage in developmentally-appropriate activities and mini-games
• In addition to bi-lingual text, app will feature animation, voice-over (in Spanish and English), and sound effects
• PBS is exploring partnerships for outreach and focus group testing of the app with low-income parents
