04. SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
After you submit the application, you will receive an email requesting your official documents, which may include official copies of transcripts*, proof of English language level, and proof of citizenship. Documents that are not in English will require an official translation.

English test results should be sent from the issuing body. Please note that scans are accepted for verifiable tests like IELTS.

05. CHECK YOUR APPLICATION STATUS
The Admissions Office will send you an email with a username and password to WebAdvisor, where you can log in for updates on your application status and to check if any documents are outstanding. Expect an email regarding your application status 2 to 4 weeks after we have received the application, the fee, and all required documents.

TOEFL: Minimum score of 86 with no less than 20 in each component
IELTS: Minimum band score of 6.5 on the Academic Module

Start by creating an account with your personal email and password. Once you log in, you can add an undergraduate program, then select the faculty and major.
You will receive a confirmation email that your application was submitted, which includes a student number to use in all communication with the Admissions Office.
03. PAY THE APPLICATION FEE
Pay the $120 application fee through Paypal or Flywire by a variety of methods, including bank transfer or credit card.

SEAMLESS ADMISSION TO UWINNIPEG
Graduating students who meet entrance requirements to UWinnipeg can apply and automatically receive seamless admission into undergraduate studies. Receive a conditional offer of acceptance in January before being offered formal admission in April, when final grade 12 marks are available.
DUAL CREDIT COURSES
Accelerate your learning by taking dual-credit courses in grade 12. These are introductory (first-year) university courses that provide credit toward both the high school diploma and an eligible university degree.
UNIVERSITY PATHWAY PROGRAM
The University Pathway Program (Academic Level 5) is designed for students who do not meet the English language requirements at The University of Winnipeg. It is excellent preparation for post-secondary studies and gives students the opportunity to experience a university-level course in a guided and supportive environment.

UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION PROGRAM
Students who have earned a high school diploma in their home country but do not meet university entrance requirements can complete the Foundation Program. Complete five grade 12 courses to earn a Manitoba high school diploma and be eligible to apply for UWinnipeg admission.
SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS
Intensive English:
This 4-week program will provide you with a short, intensive language learning experience to help advance your educational or career goals.
Canadian Workplace Experience:
This 7-week program offers four weeks of classroom study followed by a 3-week volunteer placement, giving you the opportunity to speak English in a Canadian work environment.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
President’s Scholarship for World LeadersThis scholarship will be given to international students (including U.S. students) entering any of UWinnipeg’s divisions for the first time. Candidates must be involved in activities that demonstrate leadership, have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent, and entering the first year of any program.
Value: $3,500–$5,000
Special Entrance ScholarshipsAvailable to international students studying in Canada, students studying Canadian curriculum overseas, and students from the U.S. Must have a final grade 12 admission average of 85% or higher, and have completed an application for admission before March 1.
Value: $1,100–$2,250
International Baccalaureate Entrance Scholarship Students must present the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a grade total of at least 30, including the extended essay and the Theory of Knowledge course, and with no grade below 4 on the 3 higher level and 3 subsidiary level papers.
Value: $2,250
Advanced Placement Program Entrance Scholarship Awarded to students who are entering UWinnipeg as an Advanced Placement Program National Scholar. Students must write five Advanced Placement final examinations and obtain an average of at least 4.0 on these examinations.

In-Course AwardsAfter completing one year (2 terms) at UWinnipeg, international students can apply for a wide range of awards and scholarships for continuing students.
