Fixed Lines and Mobile Subscriptions
The number of fixed line and mobile subscriptions was 100.25 million at the end of October - December
2015, compared to 101.63 million at the end of October - December 2014.
The number of mobile subscriptions was 94.02 million at the end of October - December 2015,
compared to 95.32 million at the end of October - December 2014. The mobile subscriptions recorded
93% of total telephone service.

Fixed Line and Mobile Penetration
Mobile penetration reached 107.41% at the end of October - December 2015, compared to 110.90% at
the end of October - December 2014, representing an annual change rate of -3.49% . On the other hand,
fixed line penetration reached about 7.23% by the end of October - December 2015.

Fixed Lines Subscription and Local Exchange Capacity
Total number of fixed line subscriptions has reached 6.24 million subscriptions at the end of October -
December 2015 compared to 6.32 million subscriptions at the end of October - December 2014.
The capacity of local exchanges increased to 17.70 million lines at the end of October - December 2015,
compared to 15.15 million at the end of October - December 2014. This represents an annual increase
of 2.55 million lines and an annual growth rate of 16.81%.

International Internet Bandwidth
International Internet bandwidth increased to 652,350 Gbps at the end of October - December 2015
compared to 471,339 Gbps at the end of October - December 2014 representing an annual growth rate
of 38.40%.
The international internet bandwidth per inhabitants reached 7452.6 Bit/sec. per person at the end of
October - December 2015 compared to 5484.0 Bit/Sec. per person at the end October - December
2014 with and annual growth rate of 53.03%.

The number of ADSL subscriptions reached 3.79 Million Subscriptions by the end of October -
December 2015 compared to 3.03 Million Subscriptions at the end of October - December 2014 with
an annual change rate 25.2 %.

The number of mobile internet subscriptions reached 26.30 Million Subscriptions by the end of October
- December 2015 compared to 21.77 Million Subscriptions at the end of October - December 2014
with an annual change rate 20.80%.
The number of USB Modem subscriptions reached 3.82 Million Subscriptions by the end of October -
December 2015 compared to 4.05 Million Subscriptions at the end of October - December 2014.

Post Offices
The total number of post offices increased to 3918 at the end of October - December 2015, compared
to 3893 at the end of October - December 2014, reflecting an annual growth rate of 0.64%.
The average number of people served by individual post offices was 22,341 thousand persons at the end
of October - December 2015, compared to 22,077 thousand persons at the end of October - December
2014, representing an annual growth rate of 1.20%.

million beneficiaries in October - December 2015 compared to about 5.03 million beneficiaries in

ICT Services Prices
The cost of ICT services in Egypt is the monthly cost in Egypt in October - December 2015 was USD
2.67 for mobile services * and USD 6.33 for Internet service **.
Note: No actual increases in any of the services' prices have been monitored, only there has been a change in
methodology of calculation according to the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) since October 2013
* The mobile-cellular sub-basket refers to the price of a standard basket of mobile monthly usage for 30 outgoing calls per month (on-net/off-net to a fixed line
and for peak and off-peak times), plus 100 SMS messages3. It is calculated in USD. The mobile-cellular sub-basket is based on prepaid price of the most used package offered by the three mobile operators operating in Egypt.
**The fixed-broadband sub-basket refers to the lowest price of a monthly subscription to an entry-level fixed-broadband plan of the operator with the largest
market share. It is calculated in USD.

ICT GDP at Fixed Prices
According to provisional data, ICT GDP in fixed prices is expected to reach 14.24 billion EGP in the
second quarter of the year 2015/2016 increasing by 970 Million EGP in comparison to second quarter
of 2014/2015. This represents the real value added of the sector, resulting from growth rate of about
7.3% for the same period; adding around 13.27 billion EGP of value.

ICT Contribution to Real GDP
ICT sector is expected to contribute by 3.1% in the real GDP of the country in the second quarter of the
year 2015/2016. Thereby the sector is expected to exceed its contribution to the GDP compared to what
was achieved in the second quarter of 2014/2015, which was around 2.9% of the GDP.

The Proportion of households who deal with E-government is 15.2, while 1.1% of them are dealing with e-commerce.

The proportion of Individuals who use computer in surfing internet is 27.8%, while the proportion of Individuals who use computer in education is 21.1%, proportion of Individuals use computer in entertainment is 23.8%, and those who use computer in work is 6.2%.

the proportion of Individuals who access internet at home is 29.4, while the proportion of Individuals
who access internet from (friends/neighbors) is 25.1, and 18.1 % of those who access internet at
