Congratulations to our Year 8 cricket team who are looking forward to taking part in the Yorkshire Post Competition final at Headingley for a third year running. They played valiantly in the semi-final on Thursday 3rd July against Morley Academy. Despite being 30 for 5 after 10 overs the Year 8 team managed to dig deep and beat their opposition in the semi-final of the Yorkshire Post Competition. Ilkley batted first and managed to score 109 after 20 overs. Captain Oliver Burton was the pick of the batsman with 50 from 50 balls. The team bowled and fielded superbly and restricted Morley to 97 for 8 after 20 overs. This is a fantastic achievement for the team!
Well done to our Year 7,8 and 10 rounders team who were all presented with their medals and trophies from the Bradford School League finals. All three winning teams...great effort girls!
Headingley...here we come!

Bam Nuttal Apprentices ‘BAM Nuttall's Apprenticeship Programme is only one of a few available in the country, so is the best and only alternative to going to University if you want to get into Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. The on-site experience that I have gained I feel has resulted in my further development within the industry' Matthew Tilbury, Planning Engineer, Year 1 Apprentice
‘I think apprenticeships are a great way of learning and becoming competent within your job role. It has given me very "hands-on" experience, allowing me to learn and fully understand the requirements of my job, as well as learning about the company as a whole, along with achieving high standard qualifications and experience on-site.' Hannah Matthews, BAM Nuttall Quantity Surveying Technician’, Year 2 Apprentice As one of the industry's leading Civil Engineering contractors, BAM Nuttall take great pride in their Apprenticeship Programme, and are recruiting again for young people who are looking for a dynamic and rewarding career in Civil Engineering. They have dedicated Apprentice Advisors to support apprentices through the programme, and their wider business is committed to mentoring and training apprentices whilst on site.
