Some facts about NICTA :

1- Initiating budget =100 million dollars( 1 million dollars for Agricultural Sector )

2- NICTA committee has accepted 38 ICT

The country is covered with three layers:

1-Digital microwave layer

2- Fiber optics

3- Satellite coverage

Telecommunication in IRAN

1- Governing body:

Ministry of Post, Telegraph & Telephone( The name is changing from PTT to ICT)

2- Telephone (voice ) lines:

- Over 10million phone lines

- It should grow to 15 million in 3 years

- E1 lines are available

- Huge demand for more lines by ISPs

- Iran is using GSM mobiles

- 2.1 million lines in use

- In 3 years will increase to 10 millions

- Planned huge investment for upgrading

facilities and providing more services

3- Availability of large number of qualified and college graduated ICT experts in thecountry
