INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT
In this final project, we are two components which are group component and individual component. As a group of 2 we are assigned to find a land with size within 50m X 50m or 50m X 70m in Malaysia and individually we are required to propose one of the following projects :
Recreational area Commercial area Industrial area Agricultural area Tourism area Residential area
In addition to mention the benefits and impacts of the project to the client and surrounding community/end user.
The Objective of this project :
1. To enable students to develop an understanding of the building team, it’s organization, duties and inter-relations within which they will seek employment, career progression or further study.
2. To develop an awareness of their professional responsibilities and to appreciate their profession in the construction industry.

INTRODUCTION TO THE SITE
The site is an empty area which is located at Persiaran Bukit Raja, Klang.
Beside this site is an abandoned business park which was abandoned about 15 years ago and it’s still there.

WALKABILITY:DEFINITION:Walkability is a measure of how friendly an area is to walking. Walkability has many health, environmental, and economic benefits. Factors influencing walkability include the presence or absence and quality of footpaths, sidewalks or other pedestrian rights-of-way, traffic and road conditions, land use patterns, building accessibility, and safety, among others. Walkability is an important concept in sustainable urban design.
The site that we’ve chosen has a friendly walkability to the surrounding area nearby.
What makes a site a walkability friendly site ? Streets designed for bicyclists, pedestrians and transit. Buildings are closed to the street and parking lots are relegated to
the back Plenty of public places to gather and play. Enough people for businesses to flourish and for public transit to
run frequently.

SITE ANALYSIS AND OBSERVATIONS
ACCESSIBILITY:
DEFINITION: Accessibility can be viewed as the "ability to access" and benefit from some system or entity. The concept focuses on enabling access for people with disabilities, or special needs, or enabling access through the use of assistive technology; however, research and development in accessibility brings benefits to everyone
TOWARDS NEW KLANG VALLEY EXPRESS HIAGHWAY ( NKVE). APPROXIMATELY 8 MINUTES AND 2.8 KM.
TOWARDS FEDERAL HIGHWAY. APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES AND 2.6 KM

SITE TOWARDS COMMERCIAL AREA. 2 MINUTES DRIVE AND 0.57 KM.
MICROCLIMATE :DEFINITION: A microclimate is a local atmospheric zone where the climate differs from the surrounding area. The term may refer to areas as small as a few square feet (for example a garden bed) or as large as many square miles.

ENTRANCE AND EXIT TO AND FORM THE SITE :
- The entrance and exit from the site is facing towards a hospital and residential area. - The entrance and exit is a wide opening whereby it is able to fit two cars, in and out of the site.

ZONING SURROUNDING THE SITE
DEFINITION : Zoning describes the control by authority of the use of land, and of the buildings thereon. Areas of land are divided by appropriate authorities into zones within which various uses are permitted.

The site that we have chosen is located nearby residential area, commercial area, medical area, educational area and sports area. As shown above, commercial area is located next to the site that we’ve chosen.

RESIDENTIAL AREA Residential area are well secured by security guard and residents can feel
safe whenever they’re in house as the crime rate has increased. Not only that, residents can also do any activities like jogging at the open park opposite of Sri Acmar School.

COMMERCIAL AREA The commercial area is located at the left and right of the site. It is also
walkability friendly whereby tourists and residents can walk to any shops. It is also very convenient for them when they have no car.

MEDICAL AREA Medical area is located next to the school and also residential area. It is a
walkability friendly whereby patient’s family can walk to the commerce area nearby.

EDUCATIONAL AREA Educational area is located nearby the residential area. This makes the
residents convenient when they fetch and drop off their child to school.

SPORTS AREA Sports area are located nearby the commerce area and residential area. This
makes the sports area walkability friendly because players can always grab something to eat whenever they finish their game
GOVERNMENT AREA Government area are located opposite each other. This makes the citizens
convenient when they want to solve any documentary problem.
