i n t ro d u ct i o n Clean energy and smart grid are key components to ensure energy sustainability. However, there are some issues related to technology and policy readiness in this area. This conference is a platform for policymakers from government, researchers from national & international energy research institutes, academicians from universitiy as well as managers and engineers from the industry to share ideas and research results that related to these issues. Spe-cific discussion on application of IR 4.0 technologies includ-ing artificial intelligence and cyber security will also be conducted during this conference. This conference will also provide an opportunity for participants to establish triple helix network between aca-demician, businessman and goverment as well as to present research proposal to be evaluated by expert. Selected pro-posal will be sponsored by Indonesian Electric Company PT. PLN (Persero). This conference will be held in Yogyakarta, the “Most Historical City in Indonesia”, for 3 days, which include 2 days for research paper presentation and 1 day for research pro-posal discussion.
