Location Red Fort is located in India and the state it is old Delhi. World Heritage Listing This site is listed by UNESCO on the world heritage list because it is famous all around the world and it is a symbol of Mughal power and his queen.
Importance
Red Fort is a cultural site. It’s architecture is cultural because it combines Islamic, Persian, Timurid and Hindu traditions. The Red Fort is the symbol of power when the reign Shah Jahan, had witnessed that there is change in Indian history by the British rule, and it was the place where India’s first independence was celebrated for the very first time.
Site Management and Current Protection
The government of India manages the site and it is being protected by UNESCO world heritage sites. Also, there is a massive wall built around Red Fort to protect it from outside attacks.
Dangers or Threats
It is declared as a historical monument that it is threatened by terrorists because there has been some attacks on Red Fort at nights even when it was heavily guarded.
Reasons for Protection
It should be protected because it shows how rich people were throughout history. Also, Red Fort was built in Delhi which is the capital of India. It should be protected because it is related with the capital of India and in it there are some historical pictures and museums in Red Fort.
World’s Most Fascinating Place
Red Fort deserves to be on “world most fascinating places” because it is a great historical monument. Also, the special thing about it is that it is mostly made up of red stones. Shah Jahan was so rich that when he was building Red Fort in Agra. He decided to shift in Delhi because Delhi is the capital of India. Also Red Fort represents Delhi which is the capital of India.
