Position: Human Resources Director Campus: Macy, NE Status; Full-time, Exempt Travel: Some travel required SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Human Resources Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive personnel management for NICC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain proper documentation & files. Be a coach and mentor for staff and supervisors. Prepare reports and communications as needed or requested. Ensure the handbooks are current and policies are communicated and

adhered to. Administer employee benefits. Monitor time & attendance. Process payroll timely & ensure funds are transferred. Coordinate interviews, hiring & on-boarding process. Coordinate regular employee training. Involvement with the strategic planning process and aligning the

department activities and goals to be in line with the strategic plan. Chair/participate in committees and activities. Work with supervisors on completing performance reviews on their staff. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred:

Master’s degree in Human Resources or closely related area. Prior HR experience in a college setting highly desired. Ability to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in

writing to effectively get your point across. Accounting knowledge/experience. Knowledge/experience with ADP Workforce Now platform.

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or closely related area. Ability to work with little or no supervision but can also work well &

collaborate in a team. Strong computer skills. Accurate, honest, dependable, organized & maintains confidentiality. Knowledge of the Omaha and/or Santee culture and NICC desired.
