How to use evernote
1. Go to https://evernote.com
2. Click to download (windows or Apple)
3. Follow the install instructions on the screen
4. Wait till the install is completed
5. Create an account
- Use your school email adress and a password you don't forget (otherwise write it down somewhere)
6. This screen will open ( it might be in Dutch then continue the steps, if it is already in English go to
step 10)
7. Click 'Extra' and select 'Opties', the following screen will appear
8. Click on 'Taal'
9. Change the language to English and press OK.
10. Dubble click on Notebooks and the 2nd screen will open
11. Click on 'First Notebook' and press the settings button that appears
12. Change the name of the notebook in '' Your name - MYP 1 - Visual Arts ''
13. Click 'New Notebook' and create a notebook for Music (and one for Drama).
14. Name them the same way as the visual arts notebook (so: '' Your name - MYP 1 - Music/Drama'')
15. Now go to the Visual Art journal
16. Click New Note
17. Enter a title and add some text
18. Try out some of the buttons you might not know
19. You can simply insert images by dragging them in or by copy-pasting them in the note.
20. Give it a try
21. After some minutes you will see a 'annotate' button appear -> Click it
22. The image will open and you have tools on the side to edit the image
23. Try to put some arrow and some text
24. You can also crop your image down, highlight text, draw lines, circles on it.
25. Now go back to the overview page of your notebooks by clicking the notebooks tab in the left sidebar
26. Select the 'Visual Arts' notebook and click on share
27. Fill in the email adress of your teacher (typ a short message for your teacher)
28. Press 'Send'
29. Your notebook is now shared with your teacher so that she/he can check and assess your work.
30. Go to Chrome webbrowser
31. Go to Google and log in
32. Press 'Apps'
33. Go to the webstore
34. Typ 'Evernote Web'in the search bar
35. Select the correct application and click 'Add to Chrome'
36. If you now go to the google apps page, a icon of evernote will appear.
37. Click on it and evernote web will open
38. Sign in with the same log in you made before
39. You will see that all the notes and things you have done on your computer are also available to you
online (so you will have your journal accesible everywhere you
are)
40. You will see in both versions a 'Synch' Button this means that when you are logged in and have
internet acces it will automatically synchronisize your files. If you don't have acces to the internet just
work in the computer version and it will just save it on your computer. Next time when you do have
internet it transfers the information for you to the online version.
