How to recover HANA Database System

This document shows database recovery of specified data backup using SAP HANA Studio1. Prerequisite:Must have system privilege BACKUP_ADMINMust know credentials of user adm All data and log backups must be accessible in the file systemHave one good data backup2. Login to SAP HANA Studio -> SAP HANA Administration Console Perspective3. From Systems View right click -> Backup and Recovery -> Recover System

4. System must be offline before recovery can start. System confirm shutdown process -> OK

5. System showed shutdown process

6. System prepared recovery wizard

7. Choose recovery type: Recover database to a specific data backup -> Next

8. Specify backup catalog locationType-in: /usr/sap////trace/backup.log Click Next

9. System finds data backups

10. System showed all available backups, click the one that you want -> Next

11. System confirm other settings, keep default -> Next

12. Review recovery setting -> Finish

13. System showed recovery progress information

14. System showed data recovery phase

15. System showed restart phases

16. System showed Recovery execution summary -> Close

17. Confirmed that system was recovered successfully
