Tip #1 – Keep your mind clear

• Relax

• No distractions

• Find a comfortable & quiet place

Tip #2 – Warm up

Before jumping into the “actual” brainstorming, play with other

topics/themes

Tip #3 – Make it clear (to yourself)

• Have a clear goal (not a vague one)

• Know what you want at the end of the brainstorming session!

Tip #4 - Collect tools

!Very Important!

Pen & paper (or)

Paper & Color pens (or)

Voice recorder (or)

Mind mapping tool (or)

A robot!

Tip #5 - Brainstorm

• Open your mind

• Think crazy

• Let the ideas flow

• Don’t interrupt

• Record immediately as the ideas come!

Tip #6 – Don’t criticize or work on

• Don’t stop to analyze any idea

That’s an interruption

• Let your mind think freely (crazily)

• Do not start to work on/explore one particular idea

Tip #7 – Building ideas

• 1 main idea > Numerous sub-ideas

(or)

• 1 main idea > Handful of sub-ideas > Free sub-sub-ideas for each of those sub-ideas

Tip #8 – Collect ideas

• Collect ideas & organize so that you can use it effectively!

• Put them in a file & dump
