Overview The Student Profile and Student Profile for Course dashboards are easy to navigate and enable you to extract information including student demographics, educational background, ethnicity, OP and Preference for a particular trimester.

This report was existing in the Planning and Statistics Portal and has been migrated to the PSP+, with these great additions on the Educational Background tab: • Access to number of students for Top 10
programs• Drillthrough to current list of Programs to
access student numbers and % of studentsin course.
The Student Profile for Course dashboard replaces the existing Student Profile for Course report and gives you fast and easy access to a
range of attributes for Courses.

Tell me more about this report tab
The Demographics tab provides data on gender, disability, socioeconomic status, continuing/commencing enrolments, campus and attendance.
The OP and Preference tab provides data on Natural OP and Offer / Adjusted OP.
The Educational Background tab provides data on admissions, study load, grade point average and year level.
The Ethnicity tab provides data on country of citizenship, birth countries, total First Peoples and non-English languages spoken at home.

Users have four easy tabs to help them navigate to the information they need, plus a tab to provide them with more information about the data in this report.
How the charts work – Doughnuts
How the Filters work
Use filters (drop-down arrows) to filter and view information that is relevant to you. Information can be filtered by Group/ Element/ Course/ Program/Term/
Commencement/Campus. IMPORTANT!
The filter to view information at a ‘Career’ level (circled) is only available on the Student Profile dashboard.

Filters applied in this section carry across to all the other tabs in the report i.e. across Demographics, OP and Preference, Educational Background and Ethnicity.
After selecting required elements, click ‘Apply’ (circled)
to confirm your selection.

IMPORTANT! To clear the filter, click
the funnel icon (circled) which appears when you hover over
the filter.

Hover over a chart element to show tooltips. The tooltip
provides detail on the highlighted section.
Data comparing two sets of information is displayed as a
Doughnut chart. For example, Commencing and Continuing Load is displayed as a ‘Doughnut’ chart.

For easy visual interpretation, doughnuts are used for data that has 2 or 3 elements

IMPORTANT! Use Ctrl+Click (Command+Click for Mac Users) to select multiple chart elements e.g. If you would like to find out how many commencing students at the Gold Coast Campus were first in family, use Ctrl+Click to select the Commencing/Continuing ,
First in Family and Gold Coast Campus elements.
Clicking on a section of the chart filters information and applies changes to the other charts on
the same dashboard.
How the charts work – Bars
Data that displays a range of variables, e.g. Age groups in the ‘Age
at Start of Year’ section is displayed as a
bar chart.
The tooltip provides detail on the highlighted section.

To remove filters, double click the chart or click outside the chart. This will revert the chart to its original state.

Bar charts can be used on data that has
many elements.
How the menu works
The first toolbar located on the bottom left of the dashboard provides the following functionality.
Use the ‘Full Screen’ icon to expand your dashboard to fill the full screen.
Use the ‘Download’ icon to download your dashboard as an image or a PDF.
Use the ‘Share’ icon to email a link to the dashboard to someone else.
Use the ‘Subscribe’ icon to a particular dashboard and get updated versions every Monday or weekday mornings.
The ‘Alert’ icon currently serves no function and will be disabled in due course.
Use the ‘View’ icon to select the version of the dashboard you would like to view i.e. the Original view or a view that you have customised.
The second toolbar located on the bottom right of the dashboard provides the following functionality.
Use the ‘Undo’ icon to undo changes made to the dashboard one at a time.
Use the ’Redo’ icon to redo changes made to the dashboard one at a time.
Use the ‘Revert’ icon to return to the original view of the dashboard i.e. the way it looked at the start.
The ‘Refresh’ and ‘Pause’ icons refresh and pause data refreshes. This is an administrative function and users will not be able to use this.
