Joint Action on Health Inequalities
(2011-2013)Aim: to develop tools, expand knowledge of what works, to engage key stakeholders and to support regions
Establish network of (around 23) regions Investigate barriers/opportunities to regional action on HI

The Gradient (2009-2012)
Aim: to promote policies and interventions that effectively level the social gradient (HI) among children and families.
Develop a consensus-based European Policy Evaluation Framework to evaluate the impact on the health gradient
Investigate if there is a differential impact of policy measures on children and families of different socio-economic groups
Investigate if social capital at community level have a mediating or moderating effect on the relation between SES and the health of children.
Analyse and compare the impact of general vs. targeted policies for families and children
