Slug repellant
• Rosemary is a potent slug repellant– Rosemary clippings spread under hostas and
delphinium give good protection
• Beer in a low profile container will trap slugs and they will die happy
• A flat board between rows in the garden will trap slugs. They crawl under during the day and you can salt them.

Bird repellant
• Starlings eat fruit, corn and other plants. Garlic oil sprayed corn and ripening crops repels starlings. As little as 1% garlic oil reduces their appetite by 2/3.
