Hand Made Paper Mill Cooperative The paper mill provides flexible spaces that gesture the idea of the Eastern Paper-making Craft, in which very resilient paper is made from a thin mix of beaten and cooked fibers. The structure consists of three elements: board form concrete wall, a system of deep fins, and a thin frame. Each element supports the other, acting tec-tonically to hold the whole building together. Each element needs the other’s support and cannot stand alone. The system of skylights that stretches between the concrete wall and the thin frame expresses the building’s tectonic forces, provides individual, suspended studio spaces, and allows northern light to penetrate to the levels below.

A tent-like structure that can be stored, or moved between the exhibitions of the Biennale di Venezia. Lightweight, temporary, and collapsible timber structure. Consists of frame and panels that could be easily dismantled and assembled. Repetition of the frame, cladding, and skin hold the structure together demonstrating its tectonic forces.
