Raise your hand if you keep wondering
why we dont have high definition sound on
our cell phones. We have everything else,
including hi def pictures and video, but
sound quality still quacks like a moose. Ive
asked that question at least 100 times.
The answer has always been band width.
If we can get more band width it will hap-pen. Wouldnt hi def photos and vide o
require more band width than audio? I gues s
thats why Ive never understood the super
corporations and their multi billions.
To me, when you own a company that
sells a communication service called
SOUND, high definition sound would be
the first thing on my mind. How can we
deliver the best high quality sound to our
customers then move on to taking hi def pic-
tures, video, texting, 4 zillion apps that do
everything from waking you up to deposit-
ing checks and giving you directions to
somewhere in SE Australia for a scuba div-
ing expedition.
Well, it took forever, 40 years to be exact,
but hi def sound is coming in the next year.
Sure glad I wasnt holding my breath. I can t
wait to speak to a machine that asks for
information and itll be able to recognize
what Im saying. Right now most dont.
Why? Because theyre not set to understand
good diction and proper English. When I u se
slang and slur my words, the robot under-
stands, but speaking like a radio announcer,
emcee it doesnt understand. I should have
majored in math or Spanish and not English.
Dumb me for not thinking ahead. This is
going to be so cool, audio that sounds great.
Alexanders probably dancing Gangnam
Style in heaven, hes so excited.
The Springboro Quarterback Club is hold-
ing their second annual Mulch Sale right
now. High quality mulch at a very competi-
tive price. Free delivery if you order 10 bags
or more and live within the school district.
Thats a good deal, believe me. All ordersmust be in by April 24. Delivery or pickup
date is May 4. You can pay on line with a
credit card at: www.springborofootball.com
. For more information, visit the website and
click on QB Club tab or call coach Mark
Brown at 937-901-3856. Lets have a super
mulch party on May 4. Whos bringing the
pizzas?
Hometown Expo #13 back on March 9
was a great success. Joe MacKenzie and I
put together a 40-minute highlight videofeaturing a little bit of everything from our
sponsors, dancers, singers, bands, 30 non-
prof its, 180 product and serv ice vendor s,
interviews, comments and more. Its a fun,
fast-paced show that will air on Time
Warner channel 6 a few weeks from now. If
youd like to see it sooner, its available
streaming on the internet anywhere in the
wo rl d. H er e a re th e d ire cti on s:
www.mvcc.net then c lick on archived videos
(located down on the right) when the next
screen comes up click on Springboro View
all City Feature Programs and then click on
Hometown Expo #13. Sit back and enjoy the
show.
Theres an important Fire Levy coming up

If the levy does not pass the Fire/EMS sta-
tion on State Route 48 in Clearcreek
Township will close and the station on Lytle
Five Points will have to reduce from five
fire fighters EMS personnel to three. Please
take a few minutes to watch the interview I
had with Fire Chief Robert Kidd. It airs on
Time Warner channel 6 on the following
days and times: Sunday, April 14 at 6:15
p.m.; Monday, Apr il 15 at 6:30 p.m.;
Tuesday, April 16 at 9:45 p.m.; Wednesday,
April 17 at 9:30 p.m.; Thursday, April 18 at
8:45 p.m.; Friday, April 19 at 8:45 p.m.;Saturday, April 20 at 8:45 p.m. and Sunday,
April 211 at 10:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. For
more information, please visit the
Clearcreek Fire and EMS Levy website at:
yesto3.com. You can also click on my inter-
view and watch it there. This levy is
extremely important to the citizens and busi-
nesses in our community.
Working right now to have the basketball
coach of the Panthers, Jay Byrne, state
champion Maverick Morgan and several
from the district championship team on the
next 45066 show that will begin airing in
May. Will have complete details once we get
it all together. Amazing people.
Ill close this week with a friend from
church named Jasons favorite saying:
Attitude can be like having a flat tire on your
car. Your not going anywhere until you
change it.
