Faces of Poverty
Why are we here?
Since 1905, Rotarians have worked tirelessly to help improve their communities and the world. Today, more than 1.2 million Rotarians live and work in over 200 countries and geographic regions around the world.
Why are we here?
“This diverse community is united through a common commitment to the advancement of INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING, GOODWILL, and PEACE THROUGH SERVICE.”
Why are we here?
“Rotarians are often aware of local needs, priorities, culture, and resources that contribute to effective service projects.
Effective service projects, however, require more than just an understanding of the community.
They also depend on the Club’s ability to effectively evaluate the community’s needs, plan relevant projects, and manage the project’s resources.”
Why are we here
• “Community Service is an opportunity for every Rotarian to exemplify “Service Above Self.” It is the commitment and social responsibility of every Rotarian and Rotary club to improve the quality of life for those who live in the community and to serve the public interest” (Rotary International Guideline --The 1992 Council on Legislation)
SERVICE STARTS IN YOUR MIND…. WHENEVER WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY, WE SHOULD DO GOOD TO EVERYONE.
from the Purpose Driven Life
SERVICE defines ROTARY’s CHARACTER

Heeding the Call of PRIP Mat Caparas..
“But twenty-five years later, when there appear no recognition and acclaim due the country and people, let us strive to gain them through the excellence of our Rotary service with RCC and any other program within our reach. At this silver anniversary, let us draw the full potential of RCC for good to our people. Let us, in that way, show the world what great gift Philippine Rotary gave to the world in that wonderful year when one of our countrymen led our organization.”
