Hard Landing: Mission 1
Briefing:
Hello Generals, Today we begin our battle for
the orbiting satellite Huqurin IV, as many of
you know this Satellite is rich with ore’s and
precious metals, you First objective is to get a beachhead on the planet , for without this our efforts will
severely be undermined, this Moon has no living population to this date though ruins provide evidence of
intelligent Pre-heresy human colony, whoever controls this planet controls any technology discovered, now for
the bad news, as this moon has a very rough and barren terrain there is only one landing zone viable, now for
the worst news of the two, opposing forces will be trying to land at this last landing zone your forces will fight
for this zone only one can be victorious if neither can win it we will bomb it from orbit.
Force allocation
In this Battle you are allowed 1500pts, note must be taken as this is a beachhead assault no more
than one heavy choice slot may be taken, as an equaliser one extra troop choice slot is given.
Mission Objectives :
The Objective of this game is to hold 1 of the 2 com relay stations in the middle of the board, These
are setup 22” away from each other across the middle of the board, Setup is a 6 inch deployment
zone using the dawn of war rules * NOTE no night fighting rules apply as this moon doesn’t rotate at
a normal speed *, To control a com relay Station a troop choice must be within 3” of it, any unit,
individual characters, monstrous creatures or vehicles may contest the objective if they are within
6”.**** note winner receives the abilities to choose two units to upgrade instead of one*** refer to
further email***loser only gets one
Game length:
After turn 6 the battle immediately ends, if a player has control of a objective, they win the first
round, if both players control a objective then it is a draw, if neither player is in control of aobjective, both forces evacuate the battlefield (automatic loss) as they retreat from the orbital
bombardment. This game follows normal deployment rules par the rules instructed above, all must
follow their relevant codex’s for deployment (e.g. Daemons), teleporting and deep strike reserves
remain unchanged ***note Winner of this battle is the Attacker for the rest of the campaign unless
otherwise stated************
