GUIDELINES FOR THE PROJECT DEFENSE
• For the Finals presentation, each group will be given a corresponding schedule (basedon a FCFS scheme) and will be allocated a full 60 minutes (1 hour). Please conform to
the schedule below:
-> MAY 3 (Tuesday) SRM Schedule: 9:30, 10:30, 2:00, 3:00
(NOTE: the time may change if there is a conflict on the schedule)

Schedule: 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00
•
The first 15 minutes is allotted for the project presentation, which will be carried out
by three (3) members (except the PM) of the group to be selected via draw lots ( PMs
please prepare this and we will draw during your submission ).
•
The next 15 minutes for Q & A will follow after.
• The remaining 30 minutes will be utilized for the oral exams. Questions will cover the 9
Knowledge Areas of IT Project Management and the project proposal. (I will discuss
this matter with the SRM students separately.)
• Late submission of requirements will forfeit the group in presenting their project. The
documents will be accepted (for compliance), however, the members will receive NOCREDIT on project presentation. Accordingly, the oral exams will proceed during the
group schedule.
• The members of the group are expected to arrive 15 minutes before their slated time.
Groups may be requested to enter the defense room earlier than expected.
TARDINESS ( even if its just a minute or less) will also forfeit the group in presenting
their project and will receive NO CREDIT on that area. Oral exams will followimmediately (if the remaining time allocated for the group is sufficient).
•
Each group will be evaluated based on the following areas:
Presentation : 20%
Document : 30%
Oral Exams : 25%Evaluation : 20%
The remaining 5% is allocated for your participation in the Research Congress. Please
ensure that a copy of your certificate is submitted together with the group’s projectdocument. NO CERTIFICATE means NO CREDIT. Separate submission of the
certificate will NOT be entertained and the PMs of these members will be sanctioned.
