Dr. G S Bathla was born in the year 1952 in a family with modest background. He studied till 6th class in a govt. school of small village but with good family support he completed his schooling. With consistent hard work & determination Dr. Bathla joined his MBBS in the year 1972. He achieved many scholarships and with that he could manage to do post graduation in Radiology from S. N. Medical College, Agra.

He was the first one to start ultrasound in Kichha, Uttarakhand in 1988 as well as first one to start Color Doppler in Bareilly zone.

Dr. Bathla had a penchant for attending conferences. He was a regular delegate in almost all Ultrasound & Imaging Conferences.

He was felicitated with the best delegate award in the year 1996 in Mumbai. He was also awarded with IAN Donald Jaypee Oration Award. He was elected as president of IRIA, UP State in the year2001.

He left all us in deep sorrow on 11th January, 2011. His ever smiling persona & jovial memories will be in our heart forever.
