Agricultural Extension at a glance
• The application of scientific research, new or local knowledge to agricultural practices through farmer education/learning
• AE is the informal education
• Target is the farmer = 7.07 million HH.
• Follow the Self Sufficiency Economy Philosophy
• MRCF is the tool e-extension
• R2R (Routine to Research) is the tool
• AE needs R&D
• The King theory
• It is an approach for land and water management for farmers with small piece of land for optimize benefit.
• The principles are to divide the land into 4 parts
– A pond to sore rainwater
– Rice cultivation
– Growing fruit, tree, vegetables, field crops, herbs…
– Accommodations, animal husbandry, roads…
