Brief Report of the training and placements, under the career
oriented course during 2007-12.
Jawahar Knowledge Centre was established in 2005 at GDC(W), Begumpet. The primary aim of
the centre is to provide intensive training to students in Communication Skills, Soft Skills and Analytical
Skills so as to enable students to avail themselves of various opportunities in the global job market. The
centre received overwhelming response from day one and encouraging placements add to its strength
and objectives. This JKC was designated by CCE as a Nodal JKC in the year 2007.
The centre is provided with the state of the art JKC Lab and Language Lab is extensively used by
the students and the mentors are totally involved in providing the best training to help students climb
the ladder of success. GDC(W), Begumpet is known for its comfortable learning environment and
encourages its girl students to aim high in life and teaches them to be creative, independent and self
reliant. JKC centre helps the students to gain confidence and ability to be able to contribute to the
economic, intellectual and prosperity of the country.
Organization: The JKC committee with Principal as the chairperson consists of Coordinator, three
working members, two full time mentors, two Guest English Mentors and two Analytical Skills teachers.
The committee meets regularly and monitors the training and other activities of JKC.
1. JKC Training Status
JKC General - Training was given to 231 enrolled students from April 2011 to Jan 2012 in Communication Skills, Soft Skills, Analytical Skills, and Fundamentals of Computers.
BET – Special Training was given to 30 students from Oct 22nd 2011 to Dec 26th 2011 for Banking Services Examinations and other public services competitive examinations.
