Ponape Diet.

(a) The main dispensary 18 located in Oolonta. Seriously ill patients from allparts of this and other islands are hospitalized there.

(b) The OAD Dispensary consists of t~o wards of r ough lumber construction, anoperating room and a ward in a sixty-eight (68) foot quonset . Out-buildings, consistof a bulk storehouse. galley, messhall. showers. heads, sanitation and laundry.Ward one, male ward. has a capacity of thirteen beds with three one-bed and one twe­bed quiet rooms adjoining. Ward two. the female ward. has a capaci ty of eighteenbeds, Bed capacity, however, is some~at elastic since extra beds are set up onverandas as required.

Oonstruction of a new dispensary building was begun dUring the quarter. Onlybasic foundations and instillations have been completed to de.te.
