Electoral Councillor of Mexico’s National Electoral Institute(INE) as of April 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree inEconomy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico(UNAM), and a doctoral degree in Economic and BusinessSciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid.Murayama is a full-time professor at UNAM’s Faculty ofEconomics, and belongs to the National System of Researchers(SNI) of the National Council on Science and Technology(CONACYT). One of the statutory-limited members of theMexican Academy of Political Economy (AMEP), as well as partof the Board Directors of the Research Institute for DemocraticTransition (IETD).
