Forests Belong To Us AllThe government is planning a massive sell-off of all our national forests.
Our forests have been public land for generations – as far back as the Magna Carta in 1215,we’ve always protected our woodlands. In the 1990s the government tried to sell ourforests, but public pressure forced it to abandon plans. Now Environment MinisterCaroline Spelman is rushing through the same plans to try and make a quick profit.
Our forests should be safe in the hands of the public, managed sustainably, and freefor future generations to enjoy.
Campaign To Save Our Forests80,000 people across the country have already joined the campaign to stop theforests sell-off.
Together, we’re launching a massive campaign to sound the alarm and persuade MPs tostop our woodland from being fenced off, run down, logged or turned into golf coursesand second-home holiday villages.
Join InYou can help save our forests by telling your friends and family, writing letters to yourlocal papers, and joining local groups to pressure MPs to save our forests.
By working together we can force the government to abandon plans to sell off our na-tional woodlands, and protect them for future generations.
