TAKE HOPE
(NOT BULLIES)
BACK TO SCHOOL
Everyone loves Back to School; new teachers, new books and new school supplies! It’s a season of excitement and hope for a new year. At the Florida Cizens’ Alliance we want you to take Hope back to school, but don’t take a bully. Sadly, bullying happens and every incidence of bullying maers. It maers to the family of every student, it maers to us and thankfully it maers to the State of Florida.
Florida law recognizes that no student should suffer from bullying! Get help for your student by immediately reporng the incident to the principal. Remember any incidence of baery, harassment, hazing, bullying, kidnapping, physical aack, robbery, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual baery, threat or inmidaon, or fighng at school, at a school sponsored acvity, riding on the school bus or waing at the bus stop should be reported right away. No student should suffer from bullying!
Once you report the incident, it becomes the school’s responsibility to solve the problem to your sasfacon. That’s a key so don’t miss it. The school needs to come up with a soluon that sasfies your concerns. At the same me, the school should nofy you of your Hope Scholarship opons. Then you decide what is best for your student: the soluon the school supplies or a .Hope Scholarship The school will likely invesgate the incident, but your student’s eligibility for a Hope Scholarship is absolute and does not depend on the outcome of any invesgaon. So take Hope back to school. No bullies allowed!
