Tatyana Pavlovna Firova is a Russian sprint athlete.
Tatyana Firova has been in for track and field athletics since her childhood, Marina Yurevna
Mochkayeva was her first trainer. Also Tatyana was trained by Alexander Viktorovich Abramov in
Metallurg club (Vyksa) and Sergey Aleksandrovich Popov.
In 2001 she became the champion of Europe among juniors, in 2003 — the champion of Europe
among the young and the double winner of University Games-2003.
In 2004 in Athens Tatyana took part in the Olympic Games and won a silver medal in relay 4х400.
Firova won the silver medal in the 4 x 400 m
relay at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She
became the honored Master
of Sports of Russia.
Three years later, at the 2010 World Indoor Championship in Doha, she
finished the second after the American athlete Debbie Dunn in the 400 metres, getting her first individual world silver
medal.
She won the 400m in the European Championship in Barcelona in the summer of
2010.
