EARLY ARRIVAL & SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL
Recently with the start back to term 2 we have had a significant number of students arriving at school anywhere between 8am and 8.30am, which is NOT OK. I would like to remind parents that teachers are on yard duty in the school yard before school from 8.45am to 9.00am. This means that children arriving at school before this time are not directly supervised. Parents are asked to please make sure children are dropped off at a reasonable time and to remember that it is inappropriate for children to be dropped off in the school yard and left unsupervised. The program through Camp Australia is available and provides supervised care before and after school from 6.45am in the morning and from 3.30pm to 6pm in the afternoon. Students who repeatedly arrive at school before 8.30 will be booked into before school care.
Breakfast Club and Why is breakfast so important?
. It gives you fuel and energy for the day.
. It makes you do better at school.
. It helps you concentrate on your learning.
. It helps you to eat healthier throughout the day.
If you don’t have breakfast you might get irritable, restless and tired!
Breakfast is available in the canteen every Wednesday and Friday from 8.45am. Breakfast Club includes Cheese toasties, milk, cereal, Muesli and tinned fruit salad, baked beans and smoothies. The School Breakfast Club Program at Findon occurs on a Wednesday and Friday morning and is brought to us through Foodbank Victoria and Encompass Care
MOTHERS’ DAY STALL 8TH MAY 2019
FOUNDATION ENROLMENTS FOR 2020 ARE NOW OPEN We are currently taking enrolments for our 2020 Foundation classes. Please inform family, friends and neighbours that if they have a child starting school next year and would like them to come to our school, to enrol them soon. It is important that children are enrolled by the end of Term 2, so that they can participate in our excellent ‘Flying into Foundation’ Program in Term 3. School tours are conducted by appointment.
Woolworths Earn & Learn 2019
From now until June 25, we are collecting Woolworths Earn & Learn stickers again. You will receive one Woolworths Earn & Learn sticker for every $10 spent. We are asking that you place all your stickers into the collection box in the school foyer at Findon, or hand them directly to Leanne or Caroline. At the end of the promotion, we will be able to get some great new equipment. The range is extensive and offers lots of items ideal for our students, including resources for ICT, Science, Maths, English and some fantastic fun supplies for Arts & Crafts, Sport and more.
