Types of TrailersTeaser trailer – a short trailer, usually the first trailer for a film with the aim to ‘tease’ an audience. Shown on the internet, TV and in cinemas.
Theatrical trailer – a lengthier trailer. Usually released 12-4 weeks prior to the film’s release. Shown on the internet, TV and in cinemas
DVD trailer – used to promote the film on DVD in order to gain extra sales. Shown on the internet and TV.
Conventions of a Theatrical Trailer

• Cast• Director• The title• The studio
Trailer AnalysisAnalyse the Iron Man 3 trailer, with every group focusing on different aspects:
