Plasticfiberassemblieswith“U”inthesuffixofthemodelnumbershaveunterminatedcontrolends(theendthatiscoupledtothephotoelectricsensor).Thecustomercancutthesefiberopticassembliestotherequiredlengthusingthesuppliedcutter.Useonlythesuppliedcuttertoensureoptimallightcouplingefficiency.

Terminatedplasticfiberassembliesareopticallygroundandpolishedandcannotbeshortened,splicedorotherwisemodified.

Donotsubjecttheplasticfiberstosharpbends,pinching,hightensileloadsorhighlevelsofradiation. Whenorderingfiberlengthsinexcessof2m,takeintoaccountlightsignalattenuationduetothe

additionallength. Duetotheirlighttransmissionproperties,plasticfiberopticsarerecommendedforuseonly

withvisiblelightfiberopticsensors. Usecautionwhenapplyingfiberopticsinhazardouslocations.Althoughfiberopticassembliesare,by
