We, the team members have created the OER on ‘Women Entrepreneurship- A Paradigm
Shift’. Kindly view and give your feedback on the basis of the following three criterions:
1. Learning
2. Engagement and
3. Perception.
ABOUT OER:
OER is exclusively meant for self-learners, students and educators. This is used for
multiple purposes like research, teaching and learning. Here digitalized materials are offered
freely and openly for the purpose of use and reuse. This OER gives details about full courses,
course materials, modules, textbooks, tests, videos, software and any other tools, materials or
techniques that are used to support access to knowledge.
DESIGN DECISION:
In a developing economy, entrepreneurial development has been gaining momentous
significance. An entrepreneur is looked upon as an exceptionally talented person capable of
assuming risk, marshalling the necessary resources and having insight for innovations and
adapting to fast changing circumstances. As the quest of starting their own businesses is wide
rapid in the minds of young people ,this OER is mainly planned by the team to focus on 'Women
Entrepreneurship development' which is a burning scenario The current thoughts and the latest
technologies are being shared by the team by means of word document, ppt slides, screen cast-
o-matic,videos,etc. A summary video on how to access the resources using screen cast-o-
matic is also included. Quiz and discussion forums will enhance the knowledge of the reader. A

feedback survey is also attached to facilitate the learner to evaluate data about his perception on
learning. Besides, additional videos, viki and glossary are also created to add flavor for the

STRUCTURE OF COURSE DECISIONS TAKEN:
The structure of course design decisions involved in the creation of this OER was of broadly
classified into three categories:
I. Content Decisions
II. Pedagogic Decisions
III. Technology Decisions
I. Content Decisions:
The content decisions related to:
a.Topics to be covered
•To understand the fundamental concept of entrepreneurship.
- Explain the basic concepts, entrepreneurial process and traits, definitions and the functions of
an entrepreneur.
b.Substantiated content ppt, video lecture, practical exercise, quiz, articles,etc
II. Pedagogic Decisions:
Typically, in a flipped classroom strategy, there are two segments – Out-of-class segment andIn-
Class segment. The out-of-class segment requires the student to refer to some given material

(Video, Text,etc) and form an understanding of the concepts that are relevant. Regarding concept
marking the pedagogic decisions that were taken for the Out-of-class segment related to:
a. Cognitive Levels – Quiz and of Questions to be asked along with the resources – Mostly Recall
to Apply level question for out of class and Create Level question for In-class
b. Assessment Strategies – Multiple choice questions for out of class, Think Pair Share strategies
applied in classroom
i. For Out-of-class segment Video, PPT, Lesson content and learning extension resources uploaded
using MOODLE to make the learners understand the concepts relevant to entrepreneurship.
ii. Inside the class questions posed and group discussions encouraged to understand the critical
issues involved in entrepreneurship and ask the learners to demonstrate their unique findings out
of their learning and discussion.
iii. Assessment strategies applied in this course are multiple choice questions, capturing the critical
discussions in discussion forum and assignment on practical problems.
III. Technology Decisions:
While developing the Out-of-Class and In-class activities, the major technology decisions taken
were:

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The following learning objectives were framed in order to understand the OER content:
1. To know the Entrepreneurial culture and structure
2 .To apprehend the Entrepreneurial traits and motivation
3. To understand about Project identification, classification and formulation
4. To analyze the Project design, network analysis and project appraisal
5. To learn the Steps for starting a small industry and the various Incentives and subsidies
offered and
6. To gain knowledge about the Institutions assisting women entrepreneurs.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF OER:
This OER "Women entrepreneurship- A paradigm shift" is created by the term in order
to let the public know about the importance of entrepreneurship which is being a burning
phenomenon now in the market. In order to facilitate easy understanding of the concept the term
has created URL in the name rrd.moodlecloud.com and all the resources are uploaded. PPT,
PDF are created, simple videos with reflection spot is created, quiz questions are added to find
out the concept clarity of the learners, feedback is created so that the peers can evaluate the OER
created based on three criterion Viz., Learning, Engagement and Perception.

Discussion forum with a focus question is created and grades are available for those who
participate in the discussion forum. A case study and project report are included to assess the
understanding of the learners. One screen cast video on how to access the course components of
OER is created and uploaded in you tube. The link is provided to view the same. Another Screen
cast-o matic is created regarding the attitude towards self employment. Creative common
licence included, learning objectives are framed, design decision is included, accessible link
to OER is provided and references are given at the end.
