We have had a very busy month in September—
what with the spaghetti Supper we worked at Sa-
cred Heart School to the parish fair at Holy Spirit to
the Adopt A Highway - Landers Center Stand and
the painting of the Parish Hall. It took all to help
pull these events off and now we need your help
some more—THE GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH. It will
take all of us to help make this a success. Remem-
ber this is basically our only fund raising event to
carry us through the year. This gives us the money
to do our charitable works. You need to be there to
help. Any amount of time that you can contribute is
appreciated. Whether it is daytime or evening, mor-
ing or afternoon or later in the day –HELP IS NEED-
ED.
So make plans now to join us for fun, fraternalism ,
and be united in this great undertaking. See you
there!!!!!!!!!!

Sir Knight Don Coker
Membership Chairman,
Brother Knights,
Fall is here! The weather is getting cooler and the leaves are beginning to change. God’s glory
is evident to us during this time of year in these beautiful displays of color and enjoyable weath-
er. Change is all around us. Let us remember that we have the power to change the world for
the better through our principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
Allow me to take this opportunity to say thank you to those who gave their time to help support
the Cindy Pretti Scholarship dinner at Sacred Heart School on Friday September 16. The Pretti
family was overwhelmed by our support. While there was no official count, according to princi-
pal Bridget Martin, ”We do know we had 350 trays and we ran out of trays. The scholarship
made just over $2,300. The family said they never had a dinner made that much before or serve
so many people.” Brothers, this goes to show the positive change we can make together.
Leveraging those positive impacts on our world, let us also remember that membership growth
is essential to the success of our order and our council. Our goals for this fraternal year are to
add 12 members and 5 insurance members. The State officers have offered us a couple of in-
centives this year to jump start our membership growth efforts:
Incentive 1 STEAK DINNER cooked, served, an paid for by the state officers—make these star
council metrics by December 31: Meet Membership Quota, meet insurance quota, keep pour
membership dat and directory current and reflective of these number, maintain these numbers
through June 30, 2017, stay current with all Supreme and State Council Assessments.
Incentive 2 HAMBURGER DINNER cooked, served and paid for by state officers maintain all the
same metrics, except insurance quota. I doubt that there are many of us who would not enjoy a
free meal prepared and served to us, so lets get put there and recruit! October is a membership
drive month. Let’s continue our tradition of securing the future of our brothers and their fami-
lies by impacting the world around us with change for the better!
