Pre-Three Story Time in November
Seward Memorial Library will provide an opportunity for the little siblings who feel left out during regular Story Time by offering a program designed just for them. On November 8, 9, and 10 the library will host a Pre-Three Story Time at 10 a.m. Children who are under the age of three are invited to come with a caregiver for the 30-minute interactive session. Pre-school siblings may also attend. Registration is required and
may be done by stopping in the library, calling 402-643-3318 or visiting the library website.
Family Hockey Night with the Lincoln Stars Mark your calendar for a special Family Hockey Night in the library with the Lincoln Stars on Thursday, November 10 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Members of the team will be at the library and there will be games, activities and giveaways. See page 6 for more details!

Holiday Treats Available
If you are looking for local chocolates for you or your friends, stop at the library. Seward Memorial Library has holiday bags of delicious Baker’s milk chocolate, dark chocolate and a limited supply of dark chocolate mint available for purchase. Each holiday bag contains 20 individually wrapped pieces of chocolate which is made in Nebraska. The proceeds
go to Southeast Library System Friends. You can support the work of libraries and answer your chocolate craving for only $3.00.

Christmas Arrives in Seward
Watch for Santa’s highly anticipated arrival on Saturday, November 26. He will ride in the lighted parade in the evening as well as spend time in his house on the Courthouse Square earlier in the day. The community will be celebrating the Christmas Festival all day. Seward Memorial Library will host a “Holiday Sing-Along” featuring the Firehouse Five+ and Paul Soulek at 1:30 p.m. Join in singing carols with live music and enjoy refreshments. Seward Memorial Library will also host a “Come-and-Go Craft Time” in the west meeting room at 4 p.m. Stop in during the one-hour holiday program and take something home with you.
Mid-Week Movies Take a break from your busy day and relax in the lower level of Seward Memorial Library in front of the big screen. Seward Memorial Library will be showing newly released DVD feature films on Thursday, November 3 and on Wednesday, November 16. Come at 1:30 p.m. Watch an Oscar winning story of a true scandal cover-up on November 3. The second movie is a drama involving a Jewish boy from New Jersey who attends a small conservative college in Ohio during the 1950s. For specific titles and other questions, please contact the library at 402-643-3318. Bring your favorite snack and a friend. We hope to see you at the movies!
