What is EZ-220 Page Turner?ThisapplicationshowsthescoresofthePresetSongsbuiltintotheEZ-220ontheiPadscreen.Sincethescorepagesareautomaticallyturnedaccordingtoplaybackprogress,youcanconcentrateonplayingthekeyboardwhileviewingthescore.

NOTE•SelectingaSongontheiPaddoesnotchangetheSongontheEZ-220.•Althoughthisapplicationprovidesonly10oftheSongscoresfromtheEZ-220PresetSongs,youcancallupallPresetSongscoresoftheEZ-220byreceivingthePageTurnSignals.

Selectsthedesigntypeofthedisplay.

SelectsthebackgroundcolorfortheScore displayandSong List display.

AdjuststheinputgainoftheiPadmicrophone.

Flasheswhentheinputsignalexceedsthespecifiedlevel.AdjusttheRecordinggainwiththeslidersothatthisindicatordoesnotflashwhenplayingchordsonthekeyswithrelativelyhighstrengthatnormalvolume.Doingsoallowsyoutorecordaudioatasuitablelevel.Whilethisindicatorisflashing,therecordingsoundmaybedistortedandtheautopageturnfunctionmaynotworkcorrectly.

Special NoticeAbout reception of the Page Turn SignalsSincethetriggerforthePageTurnfunctionusesaudiosignalsoutputfromtheinstrumentspeakerswhicharereceivedbytheiPadmicrophone,youshouldcarefullyobservethefollowingpoints.

•NevercoverthemicrophoneoftheiPadwiththecaseorcover.DoingsomaypreventtheiPadfromreceivingthePageTurnSignals.

•NeverconnectaplugtothePHONES/OUTPUTjackoftheinstrument.DoingsowillpreventtheinstrumentfromtransmittingthePageTurnSignals.

•ToconfirmwhethertheiPadreceivesthePageTurnSignalssuccessfullyornot,checktheiPadscreen.Ifthesignalissomewhatweak,movetheiPadpositionleftwardorrightwardslightlytofindthebestpositionontheMusicRest.

•Foroptimumsignalreception,settheiPadsothatthemicrophonesectionislocatedontheleftside.

•UsetheinstrumentandiPadinaquietplace,sinceextraneousnoisemaypreventtheiPadfromreceivingthePageTurnSignals.

•IfyouusetheiPad1,adjusttheRecordinggainintheUtilitywindowsothattheindicatordoesn’tflashwhileplayingthekeyboard.OverlyhighlevelinputtotheiPad1microphonemayweakenthesignalreceptionlevel.

•Iftherearpanelorleftsideoftheinstrumentisclosetoawall,signalreceptionmaybeweakened.Insuchacase,settheinstrumentasfarawayfromthewallaspossible.

CAUTION

When setting the iPad on the Music RestTopreventtheiPadfromfalling,notethefollowingpoints:

•MakesurethattheMusicRestisinsertedfirmlyintotheinstrument.

•Beforemovingtheinstrument,makesuretoremovetheiPadfromtheMusicRest.

•NeverslidetheiPadalongtheMusicRestorsubmitittostrongshock,suchaspushingorhittingitwhenontheMusicRest.

•NeverputanythingelseontheMusicResttogetherwiththeiPad,suchasasongbookletoranotheriPad.DoingsomaymaketheMusicRestunstable.

•NeverplacetheinstrumentwiththeiPadinanunstableposition.Whenusingakeyboardstand,makesuretheinstrumentrestsonthestandsecurelyandfirmly.

•WhensettingtheiPadontheMusicRest,pleasetakecarethattheiPaddoesn’tfall.

•WhenyouarenotusingthePageTurnfunctionoryouleavetheinstrument,makesuretotakeofftheiPadfromtheMusicRest.

•IfitseemsthattheiPadisnotsetstablyontheMusicRest,usetheclipand(ifnecessary)somefelttosettheiPadfirmly.ThefeltshouldbeusedtofillthegapbetweentheclipandtheiPad.Fordetails,refertotheOwner’sManualoftheinstrument.

•Neversubmittheinstrument,iPadorkeyboardstandtostrongshocks.DoingsomaycausetheiPadtofallfromtheMusicResteventhoughtheiPadissetfirmlywiththeclipandfelt.

TroubleshootingWhen the Page Turner does not work well:

On the instrument, check whether or not the PAGE TURNER function is set to ON.

Pressthe[PAGETURNERON/OFF]buttontosetitto“ON.”Fordetails,refertotheOwner’sManualoftheinstrument.

Check whether or not the instrument is in the Song mode. ThePageTurnerisavailableonlyintheSongmodeoronlywhenaSongisselected.Iftheinstrumentisnotinthisstatus,entertheSongmodeorselectaSong.Fordetails,refertotheOwner’sManualoftheinstrument.

Confirm whether or not the iPad is properly receiving the Page Turn Signals by checking the strength of the Page Turn Signals at the top left corner of the iPad screen.

Referto“About reception of the Page Turn Signals”inthe“SpecialNotice”page.

Check whether or not a plug is inserted into the PHONES/OUTPUT jack.

NeverinsertaplugintothePHONES/OUTPUTjackoftheinstrumentwhenyouusethePageTurner.

Check whether or not the Page Turner (this application) has been started.

MakesuretostartthePageTurner.
