T-Ball Ages 4-6

Stand Deposit $150 The Tee-Ball Division is for boys and girls ages 5-6-years old who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and
fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the
need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball is to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to
allow them to experience the value of teamwork.
Pee-Wee Ages 7-8

The Pee-Wee Division is for boys and girls ages 7-8. It lets players build on the basic fundamentals learned in T
Ball. Fielding skills are expanded as players learn to field a ground ball and throw to a base, catch a pop fly and
learn how to get an out for their team. The catcher and pitcher positions are introduced. Players continue to
play and learn all defensive positions. Hitting is taught through the use of some modified rules at the
beginning of the season. Base running skills are introduced but no stealing of bases is allowed. Scores are kept
and standings are used for seeding at a year-end tournament for which all teams qualify. Also, an 8-year-old
All-Star team gives children of this division the opportunity to experience tournament competition.
Minor Ages 9-10

The Minor League Division is for boys and girls ages 9-10. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the
pitching distance is 46 feet. Baseball fundamentals continue to be developed although players will begin to
learn several specific infield and outfield positions instead of all defensive positions. Base stealing and bunting
are used in game situations and infield/outfield skills continue to be stressed. Scores are kept and standings
are used for seeding at a year-end tournament for which all teams qualify. Also, it gives children of this age
the opportunity to experience tournament competition, up to state level with a 9- and 10-year-old district
team. There is also a 9-year-old all-star team that will come from this division.
Major Ages 11-12

The Major Division is for boys and girls ages 11-12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching
distance is 46 feet. Strong fundamental skills and team strategies are stressed in this more competitive level.
Scores and standing are kept for a year-end tournament for all teams. Also, it gives players the opportunity to
experience tournament competition, as the league may enter one team in the International Tournament.
There is also a 11-year-old District Tournament team that competes up to state level.
Junior Ages 13-14

The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 13-14, using a conventional 90-foot
diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. (A modified diamond of 80-foot bases and 54-foot
mound is used by the E.P.A.A. for home games during the regular season.) Scores are kept and standings are
used for seeding at a year-end tournament. The E.P.A.A. chooses a Tournament Team of 13-14-year-olds, and
enters the team the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Junior
League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the globe. There is also a 13-year-old
Intermediate 50/70 Tournament team.

Sunday League Baseball is for players looking to play at a higher level, while also getting to
participate in more games for the season. The Athletic Association wants everyone to
understand that Sunday League Ball is not ALL-STARS. We also want everyone to understand
that depending on the interest at each level, we may not have a team or spot available for every
player who wants to join at certain age group. Sunday Baseball in an extracurricular program
offered by the Evergreen Park Athletic Association. It is for boys and girls ages 9-14. The
Chicagoland Sunday Baseball League runs it. For more information on the Chicagoland Sunday

Senior League
15-16 YO

The Senior League Baseball Division is for boys and girls 14-16 years old, using a conventional 90-foot diamond
with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. The Senior team plays its home games at Evergreen Park High
School. The E.P.A.A. also chooses a Tournament Team from within this division, and the team competes in
the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Senior League Baseball
World Series, featuring teams from around the globe. Season starting in June. Evergreen / Mount Greenwood
residency and/or Schools – EPCHS, Br. Rice, Marist, The Agricultural School
