After logged in, the user has to choose the Database option from the module menu, available at the upper left corner of the screen.
This option is available only for Professional edition users.

Once the datasource is saved, desired cubes can be configurated.
Cube name is required and optionally some user permissions can be set up for this cube.

The next step is to write the SQL script defining which fiels has to be transferred from the datasource to the cube.

datasource technology

The Metadata tab offers the possibility to turn some numeric fields (columns) in dimension, define a friendly label for it ...

... and decompose date fields inyear, quarter, month, week etc.

An automatically generated measure(line counter) can also be added.
A toolbar is also availabe to:- Save the cube configurations- Undo the last operation- Load data on the cube- Preview the data from the datasource- Create calculated columns (through formulas
using the columns generated by the SQL script) - Delete the cube

The data can also be loaded on the cube through an automated process.
