Volunteering
The teachers and students from Liceul Tehnologic “Octavian Goga” Jibou, Romania has joined the social movement “Let’s Do It, Romania” by participating as volunteers in the activities done on the National Cleaning Day, 24 September 2016.

Objectives of the activity:
-to encourage young people to support their community
-to promote the positive values of self-fulfillment
-to enhance the sense of social belongings
-to protect the environment
Volunteering
7 teachers and 39 students gathered in front of the Town Hall of Jibou at 8 o’clock in the morning and began their march across the town to promote a clean environment and responsibility towards nature. Teachers and students gathered the waste materials and trash thrown along the river Somes.
Volunteering
Beside their civic involvement and self-fulfillment, students learnt about the negative effects of the waste materials and the damage they do to the unique fauna in the area. They became aware of the natural beauty of this area which deserves to be preserved and protected.
