2 Introduction2.1 Overview
Performance monitoring is used to monitor the equipment running status and service status of
eNodeBs by using iManager M2000 Mobile Element Management System (referred to asM2000) or the local maintenance terminal (LMT). Monitoring results are displayed in tablesor charts. In this way, equipment can be maintained and faults can be rectified by analyzing
the exceptions shown in monitoring results.

2.3 Precautions
This section describes the precautions for monitoring on 3900 series base stations and
BTS3202Es.
2.3.1 Precautions for Monitoring on 3900 Series Base Station
3900 series base stations do not support the PPPoE Performance Monitoring task. The PPPoE
Performance Monitoring task is available only on BTS3202Es.
2.3.2 Precautions for Monitoring on BTS3202Es
Take the following precautions for monitoring on BTS3202Es:
The values of Cabinet No., Subrack No., and Slot No.must be 0.
The value of Local Cell IDmust be 0.
The value of Cn Operator IDmust be 0. BTS3202Es do not support CPRI BER monitoring.
BTS3202Es do not support PPP Performance monitoring and MP Performance
monitoring in the Transmission Performance Monitoring task.
In IP Link Monitoring and Transmission Performance Monitoring tasks, Subboard Typemust be BASE_BOARD.

6.6 UDP Injection Test Monitoring
6.6.1 Usage Scenario
This task is used to measure the link quality, including the round-trip delays, jitter, and packetloss rate by injecting User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets from the eNodeB to other NEsand then transmitting the packets back to the eNodeB when the eNodeB is not serving anyUEs.
