DAY 2: DELHI Arrive into Delhi in the morning...!Welcome at the airport by our representative. Then, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon visit Old Delhi - the capital of Mughals between the 16th and the 19th centuries. Here there are many mosques, monuments and forts, with the most notable being the famous Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. The medieval atmosphere of the bazaars of Old Delhi contrasts sharply with the open, spacious streets of New Delhi, the imperial city created by the British. Overnight

DAY 3: DELHIToday visit the Lutyens designed Delhi comprising of India Gate, Parliament House and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India, Qutab Minar- the 'Tower of Victory' erected by Qutabuddin Aibak in 1193 and Humayun's Tomb, built by the wife of the second Mughal emperor. DAY 4: DELHI / GWALIOR (TRAIN) Early morning departure by an express train for Gwalior - the pearl of Hindustan. Arrive in Gwalior and visit the imposing and magnificent Gwalior Fort, Man Mandir a six-towered palace and the Jai Vilas Palace. This palace is famous for its ornate chandeliers & crystals. Later, visit the Gujari Mahal, the Tomb of Muhammad Ghaus followed by a visit to the Tomb of the famous musician TANSEN. Overnight.

DAY 5: GWALIOR / AGRA In the morning proceed by road towards Agra, the old imperial capital of India. Upon reaching in the afternoon, visit the historical Agra Fort, which housed three Mughal

Emperors. Each one left their print on the architecture - red sandstone of Akbar and Jahangir and white marble of Shah Jahan. Overnight

DAY 6: AGRA Proceed for an early morning visit to the world famous Taj Mahal, whose eternal beauty will astonish and mesmerize its visitors. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. Thereafter, visit the beautiful mausoleum of the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, the first monument in India to feature "Pietra Dura". It is often referred to as the "mini-Taj". Overnight

DAY 7: AGRA / FATEHPUR SIKRI / JAIPURBegin your journey to the princely state of Rajasthan. Enroute, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned city built by Akbar which was the Mughal capital for 14 years. Then, proceed for the ornithological reserve of Keoladeo Ghana, a bird sanctuary which is a paradise of the ornithologists. Visit this reserve in rickshaws or on bicycles. Thereafter, continue towards Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan also called the Pink City. In the evening enjoy a joyful rickshaw ride in this quaint city. Overnight

DAY 8: JAIPUR Begin this day with a visit to Hawa Mahal and then proceed to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire rulers. Ascend to this hilltop fort in Maharaja s t y l e … b y d e c o ra t e d elephants. Visit the beautiful complex of palaces. Then proceed for a city tour of Jaipur, visit City Palace- the Royal residence of Maharaja & the Observatory of the 18th century. DAY 9: JAIPUR / SAMODE / DELHI Enjoy a morning drive towards Sanganer, known for its blue pottery and colorful hand-made paper. Then continue towards the old caravan city of Samode locked up in its walls and dominated by its castle. Visit the palace and the beautiful Sheesh Mahal- the hall of mirrors. Thereafter, continue towards Delhi. Arrive Delhi and proceed to the hotel.

Thereafter we take train from Bharatpur station towards Ranthambore - Rajasthan's most renowned wildlife sanctuary. Set in the Aravalli and Vindhya hill, sit is a perfect natural habitat for tigers. DAY 10 : UDAIPURSet around the vast Pichola Lake, Udaipur is Rajasthan's most picturesque city. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. Afternoon, visit the Red Fort, which housed three Mughal Emperors. Arrive in Gwalior and visit the imposing and magnificent Gwalior Fort, Man Mandir a six-towered palace and the Jai Vilas Palace. This palace is famous for its ornate chandeliers & crystals. After Lunch, leave for the medieval city of Orchha flanked by river Betwa. Orchha is known for its palaces and temples of 16th - 17th century of the Bundela's. Overnight.

DAY 9 : ORCHHA / KHAJURAHOAfter breakfast, visit the ancient Palace of Maharaja Bir Singh. Later, drive to Khajuraho, the ancient capital of the Chandela Kings, known for its magnificent carved temples. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu a n d t h e J a i n Tirthankaras, these temples were built between 950 A.D. and 1050 A.D. These temples are exquisite specimens of medieval India and are now a UNESCO world heritage site. Overnight.

DAY 13 : SAND DUNES / JAISALMERMorn ing depar t fo r Jaisalmer, the yellow city in the heart of the desert, surrounded by sand dunes. In the afternoon, visit the Gaddi Sagar Lake, the royal Cenotaphs at the Barj Bagh. Overnight Jaisalmer.

DAY 14 : JAISALMERMorning visit exquisitely carved balconies of the "Havellis", beautiful palaces and 'jharokhas and its colourful markets In the afternoon, proceed towards the sand dunes to see the picturesque wind-caressed dunes of the Thar Desert. Overnight Jaisalmer.

DAY 15 : JAISALMER / BIKANERAfter breakfast depart for the fortified city of Bikaner. Visit the magnificent Junagarh fort, palaces and temples. Bikaner is home of the best riding camels in the world. Walk through the undulating lanes and colourful bazaars of Bikaner. Overnight Bikaner.

DAY 16 : BIKANER / JAIPUR (290 KM)Morning, visit some more H a v e l i s i n t h e neighbouring vil lages before departing for the Jaipur, the pink city. DAY 10 : KHAJURAHO / VARANASI (FLIGHT)In the morning, visit the temples dedicated to Jainism that boast of beautiful sculptures. Thereafter, fly to Varanasi. Arrive and proceed to visit Sarnath - one of the holiest Buddhist sites. It is here Lord Buddha p reached h i s f i r s t Sermon in 550 BC. The Museum here is filled with many sculptures found at the site. In the evening visit the ghats of the Ganges to see the devout Hindus performing the "Puja" with lighted lamps. Overnight.

DAY 11 : VARANASI / KATHMANDU (FLIGHT)Early morning boat ride on the Ganges where you witness the living traditions of Hinduism, one of the world's oldest religions. Thereafter, walk through the narrow lanes and colourful bazaars of this holy city. Visit the revered Kashi Vishwa Nath Temple, Banaras Hindu University and Bharat Mata Temple. Later, depart for airport and fly to Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu and proceed for a visit of the Durbar Square followed by the Palace of Kumari, the temple of the living goddess and the Kasthamandap, which gave Kathmandu its name. Overnight.

DAY 12 : KATHMANDUIn the morning visit Bhaktapur, home of medieval art and architecture. Its Durbar square contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces - the Lion Gate, and the palace of 55 windows. Thereafter, visit Patan - the city of artists, Buddhist monuments, Hindu temples and ancient palaces. In the afternoon visit Swaymbunath, one of the world's most glorious Buddhist Stupas. Overnight.

DAY 13 : KATHMANDUMorning excursion to a mountainous region. Arrive Changunarayan and walk through the picturesque mountains and villages to the temple. Thereafter, leave for Dhulikhel. It is famous for its scenic beauty and

panoramic view of the snowy ranges. After lunch visit Panauti an ancient Newari Village. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 14 : KATHMANDU / DELHI (FLIGHT)This morning, visit Bodhnath Stupa, one of the biggest in the world. Followed by a visit of Pashupatinath, located on the bank of Bagmati. DAY 7 : MADURAI Madurai is the cultural capital of the South India. Visit The Meenakshi temple - an excellent example of Dravidian architecture, with gopurams covered from top to bottom in a profusion of multi coloured images of gods, goddesses, animals and mythical figures. Afternoon, visit the city followed by visiting the Tirumalai Nayak Palace which was built in 1636. In the evening, attend the night ceremony at the temple. Overnight.

DAY 4: BHUBANESWAR / PURI In the morning depart for the holy City of Puri. One of the

DAY 6 : PURI / BHUBANESWAR / HYDERABAD In the morning return to Bhubaneshwar to take a flight for Hyderabad. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, is a city of oriental glory and of crowded bazaar. This 400-year-old metropolis represents a perfect blend of old world charm and modern day charisma. In the afternoon, visit of the legendary city - the Salar Jung museum, the largest one-man collection museum in the World with a priceless collection of antiques followed by the famous Char Minar. DAY 7 : HYDERABAD In the morning enjoy an excursion to the historic Golconda fort famous for its acoustic system, palaces and ingenious water supply system. It is also known for its Diamond market and is said that the world famous diamond "Kohinoor" came from here. Thereafter, proceed for the astonishingly beautiful Qutub Shahi Tombs. DAY 8 : HYDERABAD / BIDAR / GULBARGA Next morning, proceed to Gulbarga via Bidar - a small 15th Century city having some beautiful mosques, tombs and palaces reflecting the glory of the erstwhile Bahamani kingdom. Thereafter, continue towards Gulbarga, capital of Bahamani rulers in 14th and 15th century. DAY 9 : GULBARGA / BIJAPUR In the morning, proceed towards the medieval walled city of Bijapur, synonymous with the famous Gol Gumbaz, the glorious tomb of Adil Shah, the 7th Bahamani ruler in 17th Century. It is perhaps the largest unsupported structures in the world, 44 m in diameter with very impressive acoustics. Bijapur was originally founded by the Chualakyas between 10th and 11th Century and was called Vijaypura or the city of victory. It is from here that its present name Bijapur comes from. DAY 10: BIJAPUR / BADAMI Today morning, proceed for Badami, renowned for its rich history and ancient architecture. Badami has a number of richly carved monuments and cave temples dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries. Arrive in Badami and proceed to the hotel. In the afternoon visit the astonishingly beautiful rock-cut temples replete with carved pillars and bracket figures with some magnificent frescoes dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu in various reincarnations. Day 11: BADAMI / PATTADAKAL / AIHOLE / BADAMI Morning excursion to Pattadakal, the last Chalukyan capital and now a world heritage site. It has many temples with exquisite sculptures. We visit the famous Virupaksha

temple, the largest in Pattadkal dedicated to Lord Shiva with fine sculptures. Then, continue towards Aihole - the first Chalukyan capital having many temples dedicated to the various deities of the Hindu pantheon. Day 12 : BADAMI / GOA In the morning, depart via a scenic route for Goa. Located on the Konkan Coast, it is bestowed with picturesque landscape, sun-drenched beaches, historic monuments, pleasant climate and hospitable people. Being under Portuguese colonial rule for more than 450 years there is a Portuguese influence in almost every aspect of Goan life, architecture etc. Arrive in Goa and proceed to your hotel. The complex was founded in the 11th century and houses a library, thought to be the oldest in region. Day 09 – Hassan / Bengaluru (180 Kms) After breakfast drive to Bengaluru, enroute visiting Sravanabelagola This was the legendary pilgrim centre and shrine of the Jains since early times. Continue drive to Bengaluru, the garden city formerly known as Bangalore.Bengaluru is known for its numerous parks and avenues. Afternoon, visit Tipu Sultan's Palace, Bull Temple, Lalbagh Gardens, Cubbon Park & Museum and Vidhana Soudha -which houses both the State Legislature and Secretariat. Overnight at Bangalore.

DAY 7 JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRAMorning- hit the road towards Agra, the old imperial capital of India, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned city built by Akbar which was the Mughal capital for 14 years.. DAY 8 AGRAMorning- visit the world famous Taj Mahal, whose eternal beauty will astonish and mesmerize the visitors. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. Thereafter, visit the historical Red Fort where lived three Mughal Emperors. Each one left there print, red sandstone of Akbar and Jahangir, white marble of Shah Jahan. This fort rises on the edges of Yamuna; it is surrounded by a wall 20 meters high and 2500m in perimeter. Day 1 : DEPART FOR DELHI

Day 2: ARRIVE DELHI Arrive in Delhi in the morning...! Welcome and transfer to the hotel. Thereafter, in the afternoon visit Old Delhi. Day 3 : DELHI / PATNA / BODHGAYA Next morning, take a flight to Patna - capital of Bihar. Lord Buddha worked and lived in Bihar. It is here that he attained enlightenment and preached Buddhism. Arrive in Patna and proceed to Bodhgaya - the most sacred places for the Buddhists. Enroute visit Nalanda - the most renowned university of ancient India. Overnight

Day 4 : BODHGAYA In the morning, visit the Bodhi tree, under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Later, visit the sacred Mahabodhi temple, an architectural amalgamation of many cultures and heritages. The temple boasts of architecture of the Gupta's and has inscriptions of pilgrims from Sri Lanka, Myanmar and China (Hiuen Tsang between 7th and 10th century AD). Then visit Niranjana River, Japanese & Thai Temple. Overnight

Day 5 : BODHGAYA / VARANASI (SURFACE) Following morning, proceed for Varanasi - one of the

World's oldest living cities. It is also the holiest 'Hindu city. Thousands come daily to Varanasi to take a holy dip in the Ganges, to worship and absolve their sins. It is a wish of every devout Hindu to pass their last days in Varanasi. Overnight

Day 6 : VARANASIEnjoy an early morning boat ride on the Ganges. At this hour the Ganges is teeming with pilgrims. Witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest religions. Thereafter, walk through the narrow lanes and colourful bazaars in the heart of the old city and visit the revered Kashi Vishwa Nath Temple, Banaras Hindu University and Bharat Mata Temple. In the afternoon, visit Sarnath – amongst the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. It is here, Lord Buddha delivered his first Sermon in 590 BC. Sarnath has a fine museum filled with sculptures. Overnight

Day 7 : VARANASI / KUSHINAGAR (SURFACE 280 KMS) In the afternoon, proceed for the Kushinagar - the place Buddha chose for his Mahaparinirvana (final exit) from this earth. Overnight

Day 8 : KUSHINAGAR / LUMBINI (SURFACE 161 KMS) Following morning visit Mathakuar. Here Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon. Then, visit Rambhar Stupa. Later, proceed for Lumbini - where Siddharta Gautama (Lord Buddha), was born in 623 B.C. Overnight

Day 9 : LUMBINI / BALRAMPUR (SURFACE) In the morning, visit to Nirvana Temple, the Mayadevi Temples and other interesting sites. In the afternoon. proceed for Balrampur. Overnight

Day 10 : BALRAMPUR / LUCKNOW (surface 140 kms) Next morning, proceed for sightseeing of Balrampur. Later, continue for Lucknow - capital of Uttar Pradesh and of the erstwhile Nawabs of Avadh, known for their leisurely habits, etiquette, fine architecture, delicious food and refinement. The city has very carefully preserved this spirit of the bygone era. Overnight

Day 11 : LUCKNOW / DELHI Enjoy a city tour in the morning. Later, transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Overnight

Day 12 : DELHI / NEXT DESTINATIONIn the morning, proceed for a city tour of New Delhi. Drive past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Later visit Old Delhi - The Red Fort, Raj Ghat the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.

Later in the evening transfer to international airport to board homebound flight.
