PILERS TYPE
COMBINATIONAL PILER Combines a pair of flat nosed pliers and a wire cutter
Application :# Cutting wire/metal clad cable# Bending & straightening# Gripping & others
Diagonal Cutting Pliers Application: # Cutting conductors in confined spaces or close to electrical terminals.# Stripping the outer sheath of flexible cable ready for terminating.
Application: Holding small parts without obstructing your view. Reaching into confined spaces. Shaping control wiring in electrical equipment.
Long Taper Nose (or long nose) PilersIn general, the jaws are serrated for gripping purposes.
Application: Shape loops in conductors. Shaping eyes in conductors to fit terminal screws.
Round Nose NliersProvided with tapered, rounded (conical-shaped) jaws.
Heavy Duty Cable CutterLarge cutter with a scissor action
• Application: • Cutting large cable, consumer mains/cable.
WIRE STRIPPERThey usually have a means of adjusting, or provide access to
different cutter positions to cater for varying wire sizes. • Application: • Stripping small size conductors.• Flexible conductors.
CRIMPING TOOLS
Come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
• Application: • Provide a compressed conductive connection
between the ends of cables to be joined or more commonly between terminal lugs and cables. They also have a cutting edge.
TIN SNIPS PILERCome with straight or curved blades to cut left-
handed or right-handed. • Application: • Cutting sheet metal.• Cutting cable tray.• Cutting duct.
SCREWDRIVERS• A screwdriver is a tool, manual or powered, for
turning (driving or removing) screws. Handles of screwdrivers are most commonly made from a plastic resin or wood and can sometimes even have a rubberised covering to improve grip. The two most common screwdrivers tips available are the Standard (or Flat tip) screwdriver used for screws with slotted heads, and the Phillips (or Cross-head) screwdriver which is used for screws with cross shaped recesses in the head.

Standard or Flat Tip Screwdrivers
• The most commonly found screwdrivers are the Standard or Flat Tip screwdriver, which matches screws with a vertical slot through their heads. Always ensure the tip of the screwdriver fits neatly into this slot and does not slip when being turned. The tip of the screwdriver should also be the same width as the screw head.

Phillips Head Screwdrivers (MOST COMMONLY USED)
• The second most commonly found type of screwdriver, the Phillips or Cross-head screwdriver, has an x-shaped head that matches the “X “on the head of the screw. Once securely seated in the Phillips head screw, the operator can apply much more torque for fastening. This screwdriver is purposely designed to come out or slip once the screw is in place securely. The user can thus have far more control over the tightening procedure.

Offset Screwdrivers• This type of screwdriver is shaped like a
letter “z” and has a variety of different tips. It is specifically designed for use in small or awkward spaces.

Allen Key or Hex Key
• Another rather surprising addition to the “screwdriver” stable – an Allen key is however still one by definition. An Allen key is an L-shaped piece of metal with a hexagonal head. Allen screws are often found on bicycle seats and on some D.I.Y furnishings.
