Eligibility Requirements
Students must: Be a California Resident Have completed less than 70 degree applicable
college units Eligible for BOGW A or B or the “Special
Application for AB540 Students under the California Dream Act”
Enrolled full-time (12.0 or more units) in a program to complete any of the following:
Associate Degree Certificate Transfer to a 4-year institution
Meet specific educational criteria
Maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average (GPA) each academic year.
Meet with an EOPS counselor at least two times each semester; first appointment within two weeks after orientation and the second appointment before the end of the semester.
Enroll in the courses recommended by EOPS counselors or other counselors working collaboratively with EOPS
Meet with an EOPS counselor before making any changes to my class schedule
Student Responsibilities

Enroll full-time (at least 12.0 units) and maintain full-time enrollment each semester
A minimum of 6.0 units must be taken at City College (which includes ECC) and the remaining units may be taken at Mesa or Miramar Colleges
Submit the Progress Reports by the deadline date each semester
Meet with your assigned Technician each semester, after turning in the Progress Report

Notifying your assigned EOPS Technician if you receive notification of academic or financial aid probation or disqualification.
Checking your email regularly for EOPS and campus information and updates.
Using Reg-e to update changes to your email, mailing address or telephone numbers.
Submitting the Continuing EOPS Application at the end of every spring semester if you plan on returning the following fall.
You are also responsible for:
Book Awards
Students will not receive a book award until their 2nd semester in EOPS
The amount may vary each semester depending on EOPS funding
Awarded to EOPS students who completed all program
requirements during the previous semester Used for books only - not supplies. Must be used in
the City, Mesa or Miramar College bookstores Available one week before the start of each semester
and up to two weeks after the start of each semester
Book award questions - speak with your EOPS Technician
Failure to complete all EOPS and CARE Program requirements may result in program ineligibility and/or loss of services .
