The 3rd
East Africa Oil and Gas Summit (EAOGS) is now firmly established as the largest conference and exhibition for the region,
this year we welcomed over 450 delegates from 380 regional and international companies. The conference programme looked at
major commercial opportunities throughout the region and featured a high profile speaker line up of government and industry
speakers. This year’s exhibition saw over 2340 visitors attend to find out more about the very latest products and services.

The key to any production success is the engagement of the local community, and developing a strategy to ens ure oil and
gas revenues are channelled into building strong and sustainable societies. This session looks at what is already being done
to ensure a transparent process of the long lead times of oil and gas projects. What more there is to do to support cap acity
building through education and training and what can the oil and gas companies do to meet the needs of the community
affected by oil and gas development projects.

East Africa Oil & Gas Summit: Attracting investment and project finance
This session will look at how East Africa should develop a self-financing oil and gas industry in addition to looking at solutions for
project financing cross-border activities. The session will examine how oil and gas revenues will be monitored and present tax
incentives that are available and future plans. Kenya’s Finance act 2014, how will the due to be implemented capital gain tax effect
the sector?
East Africa Oil & Gas Summit: Spotlight on emerging industries offshore opportunities
Where are the new markets that are attracting interest, the opportunities and potential offered? This session will give the
opportunity to emerging players to highlight their investment opportunities, offshore opportunities, power projects and planned
licensing rounds; countries include Madagascar, Tanzania and Somalia
East Africa Oil & Gas Summit: Focus on the role of the service companies This session will look at the vital work that that service companies are doing to support the oil and gas industry to ensure that East Africa is a successful oil and gas production region. What are the major infrastructure projects that are underway and those priorities still to be developed?
