A miracle happened for us. That out of the great devastation and destruction, together with the few remaining Jews, we were left with a very small group - we can easily count them and know them by name - we were left with a very small chalutzic group that worked to ensure the continuous chalutzic mission. And I know that this small group has the huge historical right to take credit for their stance in the days of destruction and in the days of their battle for the soul and honor of the Jewish people. I will allow myself to say and I say this with full awareness of the historical significance perhaps not less than the credit that this group deserves for the last walls of the Warsaw Ghetto is the credit of this group in the renewal of life for the remainder of the Jewish refugees. Upon examination of the big scattered herd of the remaining Jews; who had no shape, no character, no way of life, nor grip on life; we will find a chalutzic group of people that, as a collective organization, attempted to give a different character to the life of the remaining Jews.
