YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR DROP-OFF TAX PREPARATION

SERVICES AT THE TAX ASSISTANCE CENTER

The Fort Drum Tax Assistance Center prepares taxes on an appointment-only basis.

Soldiers that can file with the 1040EZ form, however, qualify for drop-off services: in other words, they

can walk into the Tax Assistance Center anytime during operating hours (0930-1900) and leave their

documents to be processed. NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY. For more detailed information on

1040EZ, see below.

The following documents must be brought with you for drop-off service:

1) Military ID

2) Copy of Social Security Card (if you don’t have your card, we can provide information on how to

get a letter from the Social Security Administration office in Watertown)

3) Army W-2 (available at www.mypay.dfas.mil) An LES is not sufficient

4) A voided check/deposit slip in order to receive your refund by direct deposit

More information is available on the Drum Portal page and on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/drumtax
