& EMPLOYABILITY THROUGH CSR INITIATIVES
It was set up in 2007 to bridge the gap
between increasing demand for trained
manpower and the lack of a skilled workforce.
Orion aims to create sustainable social impact
by improving the income and standard of living
of vulnerable Indian youth through skill
development. This is achieved by providing
internationally set standards of training and
through industry partnerships.

skilling, guidance and counselling; to cater to corporates through end
to end recruitment and staffing solutions."
To be the most preferred and sought after provider of training and

female participation in the workforce through
skilling and up skilling. 2

of skilling and up skilling 400 million youth
in India by 2022, by tracking, analysing and

aspiration levels.
1Orion objectives
India has half its
population under
the age of 25.
This young
workforce
presents a
tremendous
opportunity to
harness the
country's
demographic
dividend for the
nation's
sustainable
growth and social
progress.
496.6 million youth are estimated to
be unskilled in India, that means less
than 3% of workforce has relevant
industry-ready job skills. The ILO
urges that this huge deficit of skilled
resources be addressed by 2020.
Corporate partnerships to 'Skill India'
provide a win-win for both individuals
and corporates. The entire eco-system
is enriched with a ready, eager
workforce, while reducing the problem
of poor employment in the country.
The Companies Act, 2013 mandate on
CSR also provides a fresh impetus for
corporations to invest in Skill
Development.
Investing in SKILL DEVELOPMENT will ensure sustainable development

Orion and Fuel work in tandem to skill youth and
improve employability. Orion's expertise lies in
mobilizing youth, training them and ensuring
placements. On the other hand, FUEL is imperative
for the success of this program as they counsel
and guide youth. Fuel curbs the problem of
aspiration gaps and information gaps, and together,
with Orion, work to provide job opportunities to
marginalized youth.
A robust counseling framework broadens the perspective of the youth
towards the wide range of career options and provides a short-term and
mid-term view on their career paths and opportunities. This guidance is
especially helpful for understanding and navigating new job roles in the
market.
FUEL's counseling is vital to create aspiration and reduce the dropout rates
during training by enabling candidates to make informed career decisions.
